Jazzy Jeff Townes, known simply as DJ Jazzy Jeff, is an American DJ, record producer, and songwriter, primarily recognized for his contributions to hip-hop and R&B. Born on January 22, 1965, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he gained fame in the late 1980s as part of the duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, alongside rapper Will Smith. Their debut album, *Rock the House* (1987), featured the hit single "Girls Ain't Nothing but Trouble," which showcased their playful style and comedic lyrics. The duo's second album, *He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper* (1988), was groundbreaking, featuring innovative use of sampling and storytelling, and earned them a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance in 1991.
